Vologda Oblast has started shipping its chocolate confectionery products to Vietnam, as well as sturgeon caviar to Jordan and the Maldives, as announced by Governor Georgy Filimonov.
Since the beginning of this year, there has been an increase in production in several sectors of the food and processing industry in the Vologda Oblast, which has had a positive impact on export figures in the region. Furthermore, the domestic market is supplied with all necessary products.
This year, the Vologda Oblast has seen growth in the production of dairy products, confectionery, canned fruits and vegetables, sturgeon caviar, baby food, and bakery products.
During the first 10 months of 2024, dairy product exports doubled, shipments of chocolate confectionery products increased by 1.5%, dry breakfast cereals by 30%, and animal and vegetable fats and oils by 14%.
It is worth noting that the export of agricultural and industrial products from Vologda Oblast is carried out in accordance with the national project "International Cooperation and Export," initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
