When constructing greenhouse complexes, our company prefers to use mainly domestic designs, materials, and our own patented technologies. In addition, we have started using bumblebees from Russia. These insects are necessary for the additional pollination of tomatoes and cucumbers, thus increasing their yield. The use of bumblebees helps to increase the yield of vegetables in closed ground by 20-30% and also improve the quality and size of the fruits.
Previously, in the greenhouse complex "Vegetables of the Chernozem Region," which is part of the agricultural enterprise "ECO-Culture," we used foreign bumblebees from Turkey, the Netherlands, and Israel for pollinating tomatoes. But with the introduction of foreign sanctions, we have switched to domestic producers.
Currently, we use bumblebees that we breed on farms in the Voronezh and Tambov regions. The transition to domestic bumblebee producers was influenced by several factors: Russian specimens are significantly cheaper, and their delivery is more convenient. In addition, Russian companies are engaged in bumblebee breeding, allowing us to obtain specimens with better work efficiency.
