During the meeting, the participants discussed current topics related to the state of dairy farming. Issues regarding the number of dairy cows, milk production volumes on existing farms, opportunities for expansion, and support for investment projects to create livestock complexes were considered.
Maksim Borovoy noted that the Republic of Tatarstan ranks first in the planned increase in milk production by 2026 on existing farms, with a growth of 142.4 thousand tons.
According to Maksim Borovoy, the Republic of Tatarstan leads among ten regions in the expected growth of milk production by 2030 compared to 2024.
Currently, agricultural organizations in the Republic of Tatarstan have more than 575 thousand heads of large horned dairy cattle, including 210.9 thousand cows.
In the first quarter of this year, all types of farms produced 546.8 thousand tons of milk, which is 3.9% more than last year. Agricultural enterprises received 455.2 thousand tons of milk, which is 105.3% and 23.1 thousand tons more than in 2024.
The average milk yield per cow was 2151 kg, which is 129 kg or 106.4% more than the previous year.
