Russia is increasing its export of molasses and sugar beet pulp: 151 thousand tons were sold for $15 million in the first 4 months of 2025.

In early 2025, Russia increased molasses exports by 2.1 times compared to the previous year, earning $15 million. Turkey was the largest buyer, purchasing over 100,000 tons. The export of beet pulp also grew by 7%, with Morocco becoming the main consumer.

During the first four months of 2025, Russia sold approximately 151 thousand tons of molasses for a total amount exceeding $15 million. The volume of exports increased by 2.1 times compared to the same period in 2024, while the export revenue grew by 3.4 times. The highest demand for the product was registered in Turkey, where over 100 thousand tons of molasses were sent, totaling more than $8 million. Egypt took the second place with over 20 thousand tons amounting to almost $2 million, and Tunisia ranked third with around 10 thousand tons and a sum of over $900 thousand, as reported by Agroexport.

Moreover, from January to April 2025, there was an increase in the export of sugar beet pulp— a by-product of sugar production. Russia shipped abroad 572 thousand tons of pulp, which is 7% more than the previous year. The main driver of growth was Morocco, where exports increased fourfold, reaching over 140 thousand tons.
