In the Tambov region, it is planned to tighten control over the overload of agricultural machinery during the harvest season. According to the information presented at the meeting chaired by the acting head of the region, Yevgeny Pervyshov, excessive loading of machines with sugar beets seriously damages the road surface, making planned repairs difficult. Pervyshov believes that sometimes the equipment goes out on the roads with excessive loads, forcing the repair of the same sections over and over again, as reported by Top68.

Acting Minister of Transport Albert Churilov reported on the current situation, while the acting deputy head of the region - Minister of Agriculture Alena Sыtova - recalled that last year the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Transport formed a working group, and some sugar factories refused to accept beets when overloaded. This practice will be tightened in the next year 2025.

However, Yevgeny Pervyshov suggested not to rely solely on the voluntary consent of the factories and proposed to send representatives of the administration to the weighing points at sugar factories for direct observation and compliance checks.
