Over the first four months of this year, Indonesia exported 6.41 million tons of crude and processed palm oil, reflecting a 5.37% decrease compared to the previous year. This fact was confirmed by the country's customs service, as reported by Business Recorder.

Despite the volume decrease, the total export value for January-April 2025 reached $7.05 billion, exceeding the results of the same period last year by 20%. It is worth noting that this amount does not include data on palm kernel oil, oleochemicals, and biodiesel.

Official production information from the Indonesian Palm Oil Producers Association (GAPKI) usually becomes available towards the end of each month and is expected to provide a more comprehensive overview of the total production.

It was previously announced that since mid-May, Indonesia has increased the export tax on crude palm oil from 7.5% to 10%, as reported by Oleoscope.
