During the inspection of the production site in Atkarsk, the governor was presented with an extensive modernization project. Within the framework of this project, it is planned to build a large elevator complex capable of storing approximately 60 thousand tons of sunflower seeds, conduct a major overhaul of certain workshops, and replace existing equipment.
These measures will allow increasing production capacity almost two times - up to 2400 tons of raw material processing per day. The total investments will amount to 6.8 billion rubles.
The project of the company "Rusagro" also includes the modernization of the Saratov fat plant and the construction of a new oil extraction plant based on the elevator in the Ekaterinovsky district with a processing capacity of 2400 tons of oilseeds per day. The head of the region emphasized the importance of expanding the fat and oil sector in the region.
Roman Busargin noted that the production of fat and oil products is one of the most dynamically developing industries in the agro-industrial sector of the region, and the Government of the Saratov region pays special attention to internal processing of agricultural products, considering significant potential opportunities.
"This is an important step for the region's economy and local agricultural producers. Rusagro invests significant resources in the future of its production sites in the Saratov region. The company also plans to participate in the implementation of socially significant projects, including within the state program "Integrated Development of Rural Areas". The regional government will support these projects and provide all necessary assistance," said Roman Busargin.
During the visit to the Balakovsky oil extraction plant, the governor, together with the CEO of Rusagro, Timur Lipatov, discussed the results of the production modernization. As a result, the sunflower processing capacity has already increased to 2400 tons per day.
On the production site, there is also a large elevator and a river terminal, allowing the transportation of finished products by waterways.
