On the forty-seventh week, freight rates in the Azov-Black Sea region remain at the same level as last week. For example, transporting 3000 tons of cargo from Azov to the ports of the Sea of Marmara will cost $28 per ton. Low world prices for grain limit traders' opportunities to enter into lucrative contracts, leading to a stagnant market in the region. It is worth noting that this week the closing dates for navigation on the Volga-Don Canal became known - the locks will be closed for vessel passage on November 27.
The export duty rate for wheat from Russia will increase to 2,689.7 rubles per ton starting from November 20. Meanwhile, the export duty rate for barley will decrease to 1,233.2 rubles per ton, and for corn - to 3,065.5 rubles per ton.
