Experts from Rosselkhozcenter have started spring inspection of potato fields in the Leningrad region, searching for Colorado potato beetles hibernating at a depth of 20 to 50 cm. Different quantities of soil samples are taken for areas of different sizes, passing through sieves of different sizes. The Colorado potato beetle was not found.

The USDA has not changed the forecast for wheat production in Russia - 83 million tons, with an expected export of 48 million tons. The forecast for corn has been reduced to 14.1 million tons, with an export of 4.2 million tons. In the EU, wheat production will be 2 million tons less. Ukraine has increased wheat exports to 14 million tons. Kazakhstan will harvest 16 million tons of wheat. The global forecast for wheat production has been increased to 798.28 million tons.

"TASS reported that the Moscow City Court is considering an appeal against the arrest of Vadim Moshkovich, the founder of the Rusagro holding. It is planned to plant winter crops on 20 million hectares, including grains on 19.2 million hectares.

The president of the Russian Grain Union stated that due to duties and quotas, the number of companies exporting grain from Russia has decreased from 200 to 15. This situation indicates a market conspiracy. The projected grain harvest this year is estimated at 125 million tons.
