South Korean mills purchased 50,000 tons of wheat from the USA at an international tender for hundreds of dollars FOB.

A group of milling companies from South Korea has won a tender to purchase 50,000 tons of wheat from the USA. Different types of wheat were purchased at prices ranging from $230 to $270 per ton FOB. ADM may have emerged as the winner. Delivery is expected by June.

According to information from market participants, a group of flour milling companies from South Korea has successfully completed an international tender, where they purchased around 50 thousand tons of wheat, originating from the USA.

In particular, this importer acquired various types of wheat at the following prices: soft white wheat with 9% protein content at $240 per ton FOB, soft white wheat with protein content ranging from 9.5% to 11% at $240 per ton FOB, hard red winter wheat with 11.5% protein content at $230 per ton FOB, and hard red spring wheat with 14% protein content at $270 per ton FOB.

It is believed that the winner of this tender is likely the trading company ADM.

The delivery of wheat to the importer should be carried out from June 1st to June 30th of the current year.
