Market participants in Kazakhstan noted an increase in sunflower seed prices last week, as reported by the information agency APK News.
As of July 8, prices for sunflower seeds have increased by 2,000 tenge and currently stand at 240,000 tenge per ton (including VAT, ex elevator).
It is worth noting that last week, the price of oilseeds also increased, although the increase was more significant - by 36,000 tenge per ton. Producers explained this by a reduction in sunflower seed stocks.
The situation with flax remains stable. Prices for this type of oilseeds have remained unchanged. Currently, the average price for flax seeds is 300,000 tenge per ton.
Rapeseed is valued at 223,000 tenge, safflower at 212,000 tenge, soybeans at 204,000 tenge, and mustard at 177,000 tenge. These prices have remained unchanged over the past week.
According to the Grain Union of Kazakhstan, current weather conditions are favorable for a good harvest of oilseeds, as well as grains and legumes. However, measures are currently needed to combat fungal diseases and pests to protect the harvest.
