This year, in the Kurgan region, the sown areas under soybeans will be expanded by half and under rapeseed by 22%. The overall increase in areas under oilseeds will amount to 20%. The total volume of cultivated lands will reach about 1.4 million hectares.
In the governor's Telegram channel, they talked about the preparations for planting and supporting the region's farms. "Farmers are getting ready for planting. Local farmers are already actively working on moistening the fields. Despite the variability of the weather in the past, we hope for a fruitful year. We plan to sow no less than 1.4 million hectares.
By 2025, it is planned to increase the sown areas under oilseeds by 20%, including soybeans by 50% and rapeseed by 22%.
As already noted, in the current situation, taking into account grain prices and interest rates, it is important for agricultural enterprises to balance crops in order to avoid financial problems.
The Department of Agriculture reports on the readiness of equipment to enter the fields. This year, farms have acquired about 200 more units of new machinery and equipment.
We are still considering applications for state support. Over the past years, the situation has changed significantly - rusty relics that used to be seen everywhere are now almost completely replaced by modern equipment.
We are almost fully supplied with seeds. The formation of fuel reserves is coming to an end. Over 3,300 people are planned to be involved in the planting campaign.
By May 1, we plan to allocate an additional 230 million rubles for measures to support our crop farms.
Now the most important thing is for the weather to be favorable. Our farmers know their business well - in 2022, the Kurgan region became the leader in the growth rate of agriculture in the country, and last year it took the fourth place among all regions of Russia.
So, we are doing everything right.
"Thank you for your work, fellow countrymen," - wrote the head of the region.
