MFIG purchased 65,000 tons of feed corn from Brazil at $197.90 per bushel from ADM. The delivery is expected in March 2025.

Farmers of the Tyumen region have harvested a significant crop of grain, peas, potatoes, and vegetables. On 66,689 hectares, 169,542 tons of grain were threshed and 10,600 tons of potatoes were harvested.

The vegetable yield also pleased: 2.9 thousand tons of cabbage, 1.6 thousand tons of beets, and 451 tons of carrots were harvested.

Rostov Oblast is a leader in sunflower cultivation in Russia. In 2024, the sown areas increased despite a reduction in the country. Yield reached record levels in 2023. A decrease in productivity is predicted in Russia, but sunflower yields in the region will remain high. Seed yields have also increased and continue to grow.

The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia will not extend the ban on the export of rapeseed seeds. It is planned to introduce an export duty on rapeseed until 2026 (30% of the value or not less than 165 euros per ton). Also, duties on sunflower seeds (50%) and soybeans (20%) are supported.

Export of plant meals from Russia in July 2024 increased by 44% to 507 thousand tons. Deliveries to China sharply increased, while export of rapeseed meal decreased. The European Union introduced higher tariffs on products from Russia and Belarus.

In 2024, the export of the Trans-Baikal agro-industrial complex exceeded 90,000 tons. The governor instructed to increase shipments abroad. Grain crops, food industry, and oilseeds make the main contribution. China is the main buyer. Export growth is observed every year.

In the Ryazan region, 85% of grain fields have already been harvested, with 2.2 million tons of grain collected at a yield of 38.2 c/ha. Saraevsky district is leading in grain collection, while Putyatsky district leads in yield. Farmers are also harvesting rapeseed, potatoes, vegetables, and preparing feed. Some are already sowing winter crops for the next year. Agricultural workers are continuing the harvest and preparing feed for the winter.

The export of grains from Ukraine by rail has increased by 68% since the beginning of August, reaching 1.806 million tons.

The total volume of grain and milled products transportation in August reached 2.018 million tons, exceeding the July figure by 58%. The share of grain cargo in total loading amounts to 20%.

The holding company "Agrovista" has started harvesting corn on 20,000 hectares. They are using 12 combines and 25 trucks. The harvest is being processed at five elevators of the holding, with moisture content ranging from 12.5% to 16%. The operation is going smoothly without any disruptions.

The forecast predicts that the rapeseed harvest in Russia will reach 5 million tons in the coming years, while the flaxseed harvest will increase to 1.6 million tons.

2 million tons of rapeseed are planned to be harvested in the Siberian Federal District. In 2021, the rapeseed harvest in Russia amounted to 4.2 million tons.

The Minister of Agriculture has announced plans to increase agricultural exports by 10-11% in 2024. However, due to the decrease in prices for products, cost indicators are lagging behind. Lut expressed confidence in the further successful development of the industry.

The harvesting of fields continues in the outskirts of Moscow. More than 80% of rapeseed, soybean, sunflower, flax, and mustard crops have already been collected. Zaraysk is leading with a rapeseed yield of 73.3 c/ha. The Ministry of Agriculture highlights the best districts: Zaraysk, Luhovitsy, Serebryanye Prudy, Kashira.
