Since the beginning of August this year, the volume of grain exports by rail from Ukraine increased by 68% compared to the previous month, reaching 1.806 million tons. This information was presented during an online meeting attended by representatives of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia and participants of the agricultural market. Valeriy Tkachev, Deputy Director of the Department of Transportation Technology and Commercial Operations of the company, noted that the volume of grain loading in August amounted to 1.709 million tons, which exceeds the July figure by 26%. Compared to August of the previous year, this indicator has grown by 2.1 times.
The share of grain cargoes in the total loading is 20%, and the average daily loading volume for this period was 88.4 thousand tons. This means that the indicator increased by 15% or 11.5 thousand tons compared to July 2024.
The total volume of grain and flour products transportation in August is 2.018 million tons, which exceeds the July value by 58%. Compared to August 2023, this volume has almost doubled.
