Record rapeseed harvest is expected in Russia: up to 5 million tons of seeds, including 2 million to be harvested in Siberia.

It is noteworthy that in the coming years, the rapeseed harvest in Russia could reach a record 5 million tons. This forecast was announced by the director of the analytical center ProZerno, Vladimir Petrichenko, as reported by TASS.

“The figure of 5 million tons for rapeseed is another record achievement. Additionally, an increase in the sunflower seed harvest is expected. In this case, the amount of seeds collected in Russia will be around 1.6 million tons,” explained V. Petrichenko.

It is important to note that around 2 million tons of rapeseed seeds are planned to be harvested in the Siberian Federal District.

Recall that, according to the data from the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, last year the rapeseed harvest amounted to approximately 4.2 million tons.
