The harvest campaign of agricultural enterprises located near Moscow is currently ongoing. More than 80% of the fields where oilseed crops are grown have already been harvested. Rapeseed occupies the leading position with a sown area of 41 thousand hectares, followed by soybeans (15 thousand hectares), sunflower (2.2 thousand hectares), as well as flax, mustard, and other oilseed crops (700 hectares). The largest rapeseed sown areas are in Zaraysk (10.3 thousand hectares), Likhoslavl and Shakhtyorskaya (6.7 thousand hectares each). At the moment, more than 27 thousand tons of this crop have already been harvested, with a yield of 73.3 centners per hectare.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region highlights municipalities that show the best results in collecting oilseed crops. The list includes Zaraysk (9.6 thousand tons), Likhoslavl (7.5 thousand tons), Serebryanye Prudy (3.1 thousand tons), and Kashira (3 thousand tons). The actual sown area of oilseed crops throughout the region is 60 thousand hectares, with about 10 thousand hectares of fields still to be harvested.
