According to the information from the Tunisian Cereals Organization (ODK), significant progress in grain harvest is noted in the country. This is reported by the Grain Online portal.
By June 8, 2025, the harvested crop volume reached approximately 134,208 tons, of which 133,735 tons are for consumer grain and 473,600 tons for high-quality seeds.
According to the forecasts of the US Department of Agriculture, in the current season, Tunisia plans to harvest 1,350 thousand tons of wheat (compared to 1,179 thousand tons in the previous season) and 550 (272) thousand tons of barley.
Tunisia is one of the major consumers of Russian wheat. During the first ten months of the current season, Russia supplied Tunisian buyers with almost 900 thousand tons of wheat.
