Ministry of Agriculture: the ban on rapeseed exports will not be extended, but the introduction of an export duty on rapeseed until 2026 is being considered.

The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia will not extend the ban on the export of rapeseed seeds. It is planned to introduce an export duty on rapeseed until 2026 (30% of the value or not less than 165 euros per ton). Also, duties on sunflower seeds (50%) and soybeans (20%) are supported.

According to the information from the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the ban on rapeseed exports will not be extended beyond August 31 of this year.

However, the ministry has developed a draft resolution on the introduction of an export duty on rapeseed until August 31, 2026. The proposed duty rate is 30% of the value, but not less than 165 euros per ton of the product.

Earlier, the subcommittee on customs and tariff and non-tariff regulation of the government commission supported the introduction of export duties on rapeseed, as well as the extension of the export customs duty rates on sunflower seeds (50% rate, but not less than 32,000 rubles per ton) and soybeans (20% rate, but not less than 100 dollars per ton).
