The head of the agricultural department of Zabaykalsky Krai stated that this year two agricultural enterprises and two farms were granted subsidies totaling 22.5 million rubles. They received support for using 2,800 hectares of unused agricultural land.
"These agricultural enterprises carried out work this year in the territories of the Aleksandrov-Zavodsky and Priargunsky districts, Krasnokamensky, Nerchinsky, and Mogoytuisky regions," said Denis Bochkarev.
In 2024, seven farms in the region plan to resume the use of fallow lands. Currently, work has already been completed on an area of 5,500 hectares.
Farmers are expected to complete activities on an area of 7,000 hectares by October of this year.
The total amount of federal subsidies for this year amounts to 96.3 million rubles. Farms reimburse 50% of the costs.
In accordance with the conditions of the state program, projects undergo a competitive selection by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. Additionally, to receive funding, it is necessary to present a planned production volume for the next three years.
The state program for the development of the reclamation complex and the efficient use of agricultural lands was approved in 2020. During this time, Zabaykalsky farms put into operation over 40,000 hectares of fallow land.
