Before meeting Andrey Korobka visited one of the leading agricultural enterprises in the Korenovsky district - "Korenovskagrokemija". This farm specializes in growing vegetable crops such as grain crops, sunflower, corn, rapeseed, soybeans, and sugar beets.
Currently, the enterprise is harvesting beets. The general director of the farm, Alexander Kazachek, noted that this year the beet yield is very high and exceeds the average indicators of the region, amounting to 511 centners per hectare.
Andrey Korobka emphasized that such a good result was achieved thanks to proper crop rotation planning, skillful use of fertilizers, and active cooperation with scientific institutions.
During the meeting, the vice-governor pointed out that the year 2024 turned out to be difficult for Kuban farmers due to bad weather. Nevertheless, despite this, the region was able to collect a good harvest of cereals and leguminous crops.
"This year we harvested almost 11.9 million tons of early grain crops. More than 10.2 million tons of winter wheat grain were harvested. 60% of the fourth grade wheat is used for food purposes, which is a good achievement given the weather conditions. A record yield of winter barley was reached for the first time - an average of 73.3 centners per hectare, and the total harvest amounted to more than 1 million tons," - noted Andrey Korobka.
These excellent results were achieved due to the use of seeds from domestic breeding at the "National Grain Center named after P.P. Lukyanenko". This year, about 100 varieties of winter wheat and approximately 35 varieties of winter barley were used in the region. In one of the farms in the Tbilissky district, a new record for the yield of winter wheat of the "School" variety was set, harvesting 109.7 centners per hectare. This achievement was recorded in the Book of Records of Russia.
Currently, the harvesting of industrial crops such as corn, sunflower, sugar beets, soybeans, and rice continues.
