Specialists of the Novorossiysk branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Grain Quality Assessment Center" monitored the shipment of more than 26 million tons of cereals and leguminous crops through the ports of the Krasnodar Territory from January to June 2024. The cargo breakdown consists of various crops, including wheat (22.1 million tons), barley (2.4 million tons), corn (1.1 million tons), rye (67.7 thousand tons), and oats (over 50.6 thousand tons).

The main volume of export among cereal crops is wheat, accounting for over 80% of the total volume. Ruslan Khasanov highlights that wheat shipments in the first half of 2024 increased by 10% compared to the same period last year.

The Novorossiysk branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Grain Quality Assessment Center" also outlines the main directions of grain agro-export from the Kuban region in the first half of 2024. More than 60 countries received grain shipments, with the main destinations being Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Bangladesh, Libya, Yemen, Pakistan, Algeria, Kenya, and Indonesia. In addition, imports were also made to other countries in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Central and South America, as well as the European Union.

The "Grain Quality Assessment Center" also notes the return of some countries to purchases. In the first half of 2024, Ethiopia received 293.3 thousand tons of wheat, which is 5 times higher than wheat exports to this country for the entire year of 2022. Sri Lanka received 278.7 thousand tons of wheat, which is 5 times more than wheat exports to this country for the whole of 2021. China exported 44.8 thousand tons of oats, which is 26 times more compared to oat exports to this country for the entire year of 2022.

From April 2024, Russian wheat exports to Djibouti began. In the first half of 2024, specialists from the Novorossiysk branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Grain Quality Assessment Center" sent over 122.6 thousand tons of wheat to this country.

Ruslan Khasanov emphasizes that the grain products shipped from the ports of the Krasnodar Territory undergo thorough testing in the testing laboratories of the Novorossiysk branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Grain Quality Assessment Center." Compliance with product quality, safety, and phytosanitary requirements is checked before shipment. Grain grown in the Krasnodar Territory is in demand on the world market due to its high quality and safety.
