The problems with grain exports from Russia force entrepreneurs to look for alternative ways to sell their products abroad, including processed goods. In the past season, the volume of flour exports doubled and more. The total volume of supplies to the global market reached 488.3 thousand tons, compared to just 205.4 thousand tons in the previous season. The largest buyers of flour increased their purchases in Russia several times:
✔️Georgia - increased by almost 12 times (up to 136.3 thousand tons);
✔️Afghanistan - increased by more than 22 times (up to 100.6 thousand tons);
✔️Iraq - increased by more than 12 times (up to 63.9 thousand tons).
"Exporting flour turned out to be more economically beneficial than exporting wheat. This is a direct result of restrictions on grain exports, primarily due to the floating duty," believes Eduard Zernin, the chairman of the Grain Exporters Union.
