The event took place in a "round table" format, where leaders of enterprises in Crimea, engaged in the production and processing of essential oil and medicinal plants, as well as representatives of the pharmaceutical and medical industries, participated.
Among the participants were representatives of various medical institutions and the pharmaceutical company "Evalar" from the Altai Krai, as well as specialists from scientific and educational institutions of Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia. In total, about 40 people took part in the event.
The aim of the event was to discuss and develop the main directions of the interstate program, as well as to form a committee of developers and prepare a high-quality initiative proposal for the Eurasian Commission.
They discussed such areas as the development of machinery for cultivating and processing essential oil and medicinal crops, as well as the development of new technologies for producing perfumery-cosmetic, functional food, and other products using essential oil and medicinal plants as raw materials.
If the proposals of the scientists are approved by the governments of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, scientists and specialists from the EAEU countries will have the opportunity of state support for research, development, and practical work aimed at reviving the industry of essential oil plant production in the interested regions.
In Crimea, work has already begun on creating specialized clusters that will help develop agriculture and industry in the region.
