Kazakhstan is increasing grain exports through Russia. Container shipments along the North-South corridor have grown by 63% to 1,000 containers. The demand for Kazakh grain has increased, wheat exports reached 10 million tons in 2024/25. An increase in barley production to 3.25 million tons is expected.

Ristone Holdings plans to sow 27 thousand hectares of sunflower and 6.7 thousand hectares of corn in 2025. They are using innovations to optimize the growing process. Additionally, they will plant soybeans, peas, and grass to improve the soil and enrich it with nitrogen, aiming to strengthen their position in the market and increase food security in Ukraine.

In the Cheremshan district of Tatarstan, the construction of an elevator complex is planned. The investment is 1 billion rubles. The project will create 39 new jobs, and the complex is designed to store 30,000 tons of grain. A company called "Bio-Agro" is being established.

Indian oil producers demand an increase in the difference in import tariffs between crude and refined oil to protect domestic processing. The import of refined oils is hurting the industry. It has been proposed to either raise tariffs on refined varieties or lower them on crude oil. This letter was addressed to Minister Pralhad Joshi, and the government's reaction is unknown.

In February 2025, the average price of sunflower seeds in Russia reached 42614 rubles per ton, which is 52% higher than the previous year's level.

In the Rostov region, the price reached 44385 rubles per ton.

In the Lipetsk region, it is planned to allocate more than 1 million hectares for spring crops. In the districts, the cultivation of sunflower, rapeseed, spring cereals, and leguminous crops is being developed.

According to the Minister of Agriculture, the sown area in 2025 will reach 1 million 406 thousand hectares.

In China, it was announced about the independence from grain and gas supplies from the USA. They are confident that they will be able to compensate for the loss with other sources. Earlier, China stated its readiness to discuss tariffs with the USA. Trump will reduce customs duties on goods from China, but not completely.

Production of rapeseed oil in Russia increased by 25% in the first quarter of 2025, reaching 382 thousand tons.

Exports grew by a third, with China as the main buyer. There are plans to increase oil exports to $1.5 billion by 2030.

Prices for sunflower seeds and oil have decreased in the European region. The purchase price of oil has decreased to 84.5-86.6 thousand rubles per ton, the selling price - to 86-88 thousand rubles. The price of sunflower seeds has dropped to 37.4-38.7 thousand rubles per ton. Export prices for oil remain at $1,115 per ton. The CEO of "ProZerno" notes insignificant changes in product prices. Processing plants may incur losses of up to 5 thousand rubles per ton.

The National Organization for Quality Assurance in Agricultural Products (NAQAAP) plans to achieve 100% inspection of vegetable oils for importing countries by 2025. More than 90% of the required quality and safety indicators are already being tested.

Russia exported 1 million tons of vegetable oils, with part of it going to China, India, Turkey, Belarus, and Algeria. Turkey and Belarus have increased their imports, and new countries, Morocco and Chile, have been added to the list.

In the Tyumen region, the sowing campaign has started. The first to start sowing annual grasses were the Yarkovsky district and the "Agrofirm Mezhdurechie" LLC. It is planned to sow 996 thousand hectares, which is 11 thousand hectares more than last year. The reserves for sowing are already prepared, farmers strive for a good harvest. They sow wheat, oats, corn, potatoes, lettuce, as well as experiment with sunflowers and berries.

In Ukraine, prices for feed corn are rising due to a lack of supply from farmers, high competition between companies, and the impact on the export market.

Today's demand is estimated at 9700-10800 UAH/ton, which is 100-300 UAH/ton higher than last week.
