In Bulgaria, low-quality sunflower is grown, which creates problems for local oil producers. The situation is further complicated by the high content of harmful substances in corn. The yield has decreased due to drought, which will lead to a decrease in oil production.

In Kazakhstan, sunflower crops have reached maturity, and harvesting has begun. Soybean and cotton crops are ripening, sunflower is being harvested. Harvesting of grain crops in the north is favorable. In the southeast, winter wheat is sown, and the grain is sprouting.

"Demetra Trading" has purchased the "Nash Soyuz" elevator in the Oryol region. Plans include modernization, increasing grain processing and flour production. The complex consists of 10 silos, a dryer, receiving lines, and a milling complex. Upgrades to the railway infrastructure are planned.

Alebor Group has successfully completed the harvest of sunflower and corn. Sunflower was harvested from 1.35 thousand hectares with a yield of 3.47 t/ha, while corn was harvested from 1.748 thousand hectares with a yield of 8.84 t/ha. The company's team is proud of the results and is preparing for the next season.

The Republic of Tatarstan has increased its exports of grains and oilseeds by 12.6% to 166.9 thousand tons in the first 9 months of 2024. The exports reach 17 countries, including Mongolia and China, due to the high quality of the products confirmed by the grain quality laboratory.

Sunflower meal remains popular in Belarus and Azerbaijan.

In 2024, the grain harvest in the Kursk region is expected to be 27.3% lower than last year due to the difficult situation. The sugar beet and oilseed crop harvest will also decrease. The corn and rapeseed harvesting is completed. Sugar beet harvesting is ongoing.

On October 15, the Egyptian GASC held an international tender for the purchase of sunflower and soybean oil with immediate payment. 50,000 tons were purchased from Viterra at $1185 per ton. Participants included LDC, Posco Int., Aston Agro Industrial S.A., InterGrain S.A., Mahsul Trading, Green Supplier, Bunge, Oliva AD, Cargill.

In Kazakhstan, prices for sunflower and soybean seeds are rising due to the increase in the cost of oil-bearing crops in Russia. The demand for seeds exceeds the supply by more than three times. Analysts predict further price growth.

Prices for rapeseed and flax remain stable, while safflower and mustard are becoming cheaper, but it is recommended to keep them for the future.

In 2024, leaders in crop yield have emerged: Stavropol, Koshkinsky, Privolzhsky, and Chelno-Vershinsky districts. The agricultural season in the Samara region: sowing is completed at 96%, with a yield of 20.8 c/ha. Adverse weather conditions have made harvesting difficult. Winter crops are in good condition, and work on land restoration continues. Districts with low yields: Bolshchernigovsky, Alexeevsky, Pestravsky.

China imported 11.37 million tons of soybeans in September, slightly less than the record 12.14 million tons from the previous month. The reason behind this is concerns over trade relations with the US, especially in the event of Trump's victory in the elections.

From January to September 2024, imports amounted to 81.9 million tons, which is 8.1% more than the previous year.

Prices for rapeseed on the domestic market last week have slightly increased, attracting more offers. However, due to active exports, a large part of the stocks have already been depleted.

Rains in some areas did not hinder companies from continuing to sow winter rapeseed. In Ukraine, almost 1 million hectares of winter oilseeds have been sown.

In this year, the volume of grain exports from Tatarstan reached 675 thousand tons, which is 5 thousand tons more than last year. Farmers harvested 3.7 million tons of grain from an area of 1.3 million hectares with a yield of 27.9 quintals per hectare. Tatarstan supplies grain to China, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and European countries.
