Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has announced that Tunisia is interested in increasing its imports of Russian grain. An intergovernmental commission will monitor the processes and provide support. Tunisia is prepared to sign new contracts for grain due to the successful performance of agricultural enterprises and favorable climatic conditions in Russia.

Branch employees have chosen a site for a new trout farm, conducted soil survey, and prepared a project. The farm will occupy 1 hectare, including 10 ponds. The soil will be used to improve fertility, while mineral soil will be used for roads. The project will last for 6 years, taking into account planning and soil restoration. Recultivation is carried out in accordance with the legislation.

Experts have assessed the state of agriculture as follows: good – 772.28 thousand hectares, satisfactory – 1001.03 thousand hectares, poor – 5.75 thousand hectares.

Out of 84.73 thousand hectares with winter rapeseed, 17.75 thousand hectares are in good condition, 46.05 thousand hectares are satisfactory, and 9.43 thousand hectares are in poor condition. Infectious diseases on winter crops are minimal.

In 2024, the number of fires in agricultural lands decreased. Farmers in the south of Russia are preparing for sowing. The Ministry of Agriculture recommends fire prevention measures and bringing new lands into circulation. The creation of protective strips and clearing of areas is planned.

World wheat prices have been decreasing: soft red winter wheat in Chicago -1.67%, hard wheat in Kansas -1.93%, spring wheat in Minneapolis -0.28%. The price of corn contract in Chicago dropped by 1.01%, rice by 3.00%. Russian FOB Black Sea prices: wheat +0.12%, barley unchanged, corn -2.00%. The wheat price index CPT Novorossiysk increased by 0.70%.

Russia is proposing to Western countries to lift sanctions from Rosselkhozbank to restore financial ties with international banks and process payments for grain exports. The EU is discussing the possibility of using the bank for trade with Russia. The US is convincing businesses of the independence of food products from sanctions.

Meat is a source of protein, vitamins, and minerals. In search of more balanced products, people are exploring hybrid meat products with plant components. Shitake mushroom is rich in protein and beneficial for health. Research has shown that adding its powder improves the quality of hybrid chicken gels.

Within the "Forest Conservation" project initiated by the President of Russia, work is being carried out to assess the condition of the forests, identify and eliminate pest outbreaks, conduct biotechnical measures, sanitary felling, and wood clearing.

In the Ministry of Agriculture of the region, the goals for 2025 were discussed. Increase in the production of bee packages to protect the local market from uncontrolled imports was set during the speech of Deputy Prime Minister Ilshat Fazrakhmanov. Mr. Fazrakhmanov also outlined the expansion of support for local producers.

Vietnam has removed field bindweed from quarantine objects after inspections by the Rosselkhoznadzor. Previously, its presence required additional expenses for Russian exporters. This will allow for an increase in grain exports to Vietnam.

Turkey is trying to revive the grain deal with Russia and Qatar through a new trilateral agreement. Possible cooperation was discussed at a meeting in Budapest.

The USA is also seeking support in the Romanian direction for the export of Ukrainian grain. It is unclear what final decisions will be made.

In the building of the regional administration, an agreement on cooperation with the branch of the Federal Center for Integrated Arctic Research of the Russian Federation "VNIRO" has been concluded. Joint programs on the protection and use of water resources, scientific research in the field of fisheries, and the creation of an educational cluster are planned.
