The head of the Belovsky district of the Kursk region called on local residents to evacuate after an unsuccessful attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to break through to the district. At the same time, the governor of the Belgorod region, Gladkov, announced the need to evacuate the Krasnoyarujsky district.

The Belovsky district is home to the "Belsakhar" sugar plant (formerly Kommunar), while the Krasnoyarujsky district is home to the "Krasnoyarujsky" sugar plant. During the 2023/24 season, these enterprises shipped 35 thousand tons and 26 thousand tons of sugar, respectively.
