The level of grain exports through the Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) has reached a new record: 1.1 million tons were shipped in September, with plans to ship 1.3 million tons in October.

The new grain harvest has started to be exported and distributed within the country. According to the report of KTZ - the National Railway Carrier - in September, 1 million 100 thousand tons of new grain were shipped. It is planned to ship 1 million 300 thousand tons in October. This information is reported by the APK News agency.

During September, approximately 900 thousand tons of grain were exported. The majority was sent to the countries of Central Asia, which are the main buyers of our wheat. China received about 200 thousand tons of exports. Additionally, some amount of grain was shipped to Iran through the port of Aktau, totaling 140 thousand tons.

As for October, the shipment of 1 million 300 thousand tons of grain has already been agreed upon.

According to information from KTZ, during the year 2024, 5 million tons of grain were exported to external markets. Overall, 6 million 600 thousand tons were shipped through railway transportation.
