The country of Tunisia has expressed interest in increasing grain supplies from Russia, as reported by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, citing information from the Interfax agency.
“Today we confirmed our desire for the intergovernmental commission, which will resume its work early next year, to monitor all these processes and, if necessary, provide political support,” he noted at a press conference in Tunisia.
“There is an interest in increasing deliveries of our grain, as mentioned by the President of Tunisia today. We are ready for this, thanks to the efforts of our agricultural producers and favorable weather conditions. For the second consecutive year, or even the third, we have very high harvests – maybe not as high as last year, but sufficient for exports almost at the level of the record figure of last year,” Lavrov emphasized.
