"The Penza factory is preparing for the new season: it is expected to produce more than 150,000 tons of sugar from 1 million tons of sugar beets."

In the Penza region, the repair and commissioning of equipment for receiving and processing sugar beet harvest is nearing completion at the sugar factory. This information is reported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the region.

During this week, the agricultural firm OJSC "Studenetskiy Flour Mill" will start digging up sugar beets and supplying them for further processing at the OJSC "ATMIS-sugar" plant. The plant plans to start processing on August 25 and expects to receive around 1 million tons of sugar beets, from which it is planned to produce more than 150 thousand tons of sugar.

Two more sugar factories in this region will start the season of processing and sugar production in early September.
