According to the results of the first four months of the 2024/2025 season, Nigeria, Morocco, and the UAE topped the list of countries with the fastest growth in grain imports from Russia. This information was provided by the Union of Grain Exporters and Producers, referring to data from Rusagrotrans.
It is noted that Nigeria purchased 300% more grain compared to the previous season, amounting to 651 thousand tons, while Morocco increased its purchases by 212%, reaching 557 thousand tons. The UAE also exceeded expectations, acquiring 502 thousand tons of grain, which is 88% higher than last year.
Egypt, being one of the main importers of grain from Russia, ranked fourth in the growth rate rating, increasing its imports by 66%, reaching 4.3 million tons.
Kenya, which imported 978 thousand tons of grain during the July-October period, closes the top five leaders with a growth of 47%.
In previous reports, it was mentioned that the delivery of 4.6-4.8 million tons of wheat from Russia in November is forecasted.
