During the reporting week from June 27 to July 4, global wheat prices continued to rise. The costs were as follows:
- soft red winter wheat on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT, ZW) rose to 547.75 cents/bushel (+4.38%);
- hard red winter wheat on the Kansas City Board of Trade (KCBT, KE) increased to 518.00 cents/bushel (+0.39%);
- hard red spring wheat on the Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGE, MWE) grew to 630.00 cents/bushel (+3.62%);
The contract for corn on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT, ZC) increased to 431.50 cents/bushel (+3.35%). The price of rice in Chicago (CBOT, ZR) decreased to $12.61/cwt (-3.74%).
Indicative prices for Russia (FOB Black Sea):
- wheat - dropped to $227.00/ton (-1.13%);
- barley - decreased to $195.10/ton (-0.31%);
- corn - reduced to $231.70/ton (-2.36%);
The Russian wheat index, CPT Novorossiysk, increased to 15650 rub/ton (+1.64%).
Purchase prices in Russia for 4th class wheat with 12.5% protein content at Black Sea and Azov Sea port elevators for the reporting period:
- Azov - 13500 (0) rub/ton
- Novorossiysk - 16050 (+50) rub/ton
- Rostov-on-Don - 13800 (0) rub/ton
- Taganrog - 12500 (-900) rub/ton
