According to the information provided in the message from GTRK "Penza", the Kamensky sugar plant continues to produce sugar thanks to the reserves of sugar syrup, which were sent for storage after the beetroot production ended. The plant uses automatic stations for filtering and boiling sugar syrup, the work of which is controlled by operators. According to the technical director of OJSC "ATMIS-Sugar" Alexey Lazarev, each stage of production is strictly controlled.
The head of the main production, Natalia Voronkova, noted that the new technology for storing sugar syrup is used only in three out of 65 sugar plants in Russia, and for its effective operation, strict compliance with the syrup parameters is necessary, such as concentration, environment, and sugar content. The main product, white sugar, is supplied throughout Russia and abroad.
Since 2001, the main shareholder of the sugar plant has been Sucden, a group of companies. Since then, the plant's productivity has tripled and currently reaches 8.5 thousand tons. The general director of OJSC "ATMIS-Sugar" Andrey Kharchenko emphasized that thanks to modernization, further increase in productivity is planned.
