The institution's website announced that the Grain Quality Assessment Center, under the control of the Rosselkhoznadzor, has changed its name to the "Federal Center for Safety and Quality Assessment of Agricultural Products."
According to the announcement, these changes have led to a significant expansion of the center's structure and functional directions. The revised charter of the institution now includes new areas in the field of veterinary medicine.
As a result of the reorganization, the Center now includes 6 institutions subordinate to Rosselkhoznadzor, which have become its branches. In total, the Center consists of 23 branches and 26 testing laboratories.
The new purpose of the Federal Center includes conducting research in the areas of grain quality and safety, grain processing, compound feeds and components for their production, plant quarantine and protection, safe handling of pesticides and agrochemicals, determination of seed varieties and planting qualities, soil fertility, research on all types of meat and dairy products, and other aspects.
