A very interesting piece of news is the information that on March 26, 2024, a large shipment of Russian wheat was exported from one of the largest ports in Russia - the Novorossiysk Sea Commercial Port, only the second time in the last two years. As reported by the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Grain Quality Assessment Center," this time the quantity reached an impressive 75,000 tons and was sent to Sri Lanka.
The previous precedent of exporting wheat to this country was noted in 2021, amounting to 54,000 tons. It is no secret that the international market for Russian wheat is dynamic, and these figures indicate a gradual expansion of Russia's export potential.
One of the reasons for the success of Russian wheat exports is its high quality. Therefore, each batch undergoes mandatory testing in the testing laboratories of the Novorossiysk branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Grain Quality Assessment Center." Only after successful research, the applicant is issued the corresponding certificates confirming the safety and quality of the wheat, absence of GMOs, and test results.
By the way, in the first two months of this year, under the supervision of highly qualified specialists from the Novorossiysk branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Grain Quality Assessment Center," over 5.4 million tons of Russian wheat were exported to 33 different countries around the world. These numbers speak to the significant activity and competitiveness of Russian agriculture on the global stage.
