Ekoniva significantly increased sugar beet plantings in the Kursk region, expecting a record harvest of up to 215 thousand tonnes of this fragrant vegetable.

The group of companies "Ekoniva" has significantly expanded the crop rotation of sugar beet in the Kursk region - by 44%, reaching 3.9 thousand hectares. With favorable weather conditions, it is expected to harvest about 215 thousand tons of sugar beets. In the Voronezh region, the area of ​​sowing remained at the same level as last year - 4.8 thousand hectares.

Thanks to the early arrival of spring, the sowing time started two weeks earlier and should be completed by April 20. The company's sugar plant "Belsakhar" in Kommunar, Belovsky district, plans to increase processing volumes to 240-250 thousand tons of sugar beets, allowing the plant to operate at full capacity. Last season, the plant processed 179.3 thousand tons of sugar beets, from which 25.7 thousand tons of sugar and 6.26 thousand tons of molasses were obtained.
