Midweek on the March trading floor in New York, the price of world sugar SBH25 rose by +0.14 (22.22; +0.63%). Meanwhile, on the ICE exchange in London, the price of December white sugar SWZ24 increased by +5.70 (576.90; +1.01%), as reported by the well-known resource Barchart.

During the middle of the week, sugar prices showed a moderate growth due to the expected reduction in short-term rains in the Central-Southern region of Brazil, the country's main sugar producer. Climatempo, a company specializing in meteorological forecasts, now predicts isolated showers in the Central-Southern region of Brazil this week, in smaller amounts compared to previous forecasts of heavy rainfall.
