There is a positive trend in the production of baby food. The region has been holding leading positions in Russia in this area for many years. Over the past nine months, the production of dairy products for children has increased by 23.8%, and meat products by 11.1%.
From January to September 2024, the production of processed potatoes grew by 26.1%, frozen fruits and berries by 19.3%, sugar by 18.6%, meat-containing canned goods by 18%, and yeast by 15%. Lipetsk region is one of the top three producers of these products in the country.
Lipetsk oil extraction plants are increasing the production of vegetable oils. This year, their output increased by 8.7% compared to the previous year, reaching 226.8 thousand tons of sunflower oil, 122 thousand tons of rapeseed oil, and 83.5 thousand tons of soybean oil. The greatest growth is observed in the production of soybean oil, which increased by 78.1%.
Additionally, the region has seen an increase in the production of milk, cottage cheese, cheese, butter, groats, flour, meat and poultry by-products, as well as processed and canned fish.
Sergey Kuzovlev, Head of the Department of Agriculture of the Lipetsk Region, noted that the regional agro-industrial complex is working not only to achieve the targets of the Food Security Doctrine but also to increase the volumes of products that are in demand in external markets.
