In Kostanay, an off-site meeting of the Operational Grain Headquarters of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) was held with the participation of over 50 shippers from the region. Representatives of the transport prosecutor's office, state inspection, the agriculture department of the regional akimat, and the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" also took part.

According to information from the KTZ press service, the meeting aimed to discuss the issue of container downtime due to restrictions on receiving grain cargoes from China through the Altynkol station.

To resolve the situation, it was proposed for shippers to redirect shipments through the Dostyk border checkpoint. According to KTZ, more than 30 trains have confirmed their readiness for redirection.

It is worth recalling that earlier serious restrictions on accepting grain from China were announced by KTZ.
