According to market operators, the Taiwan Flour Millers Association purchased 104.15 thousand tons of wheat from the USA in an international tender.
Firstly, a batch of 54.225 thousand tons was procured for delivery from August 25 to September 8. This batch includes 34.75 thousand tons of dark northern spring wheat with a minimum protein content of 14.5%, acquired from Columbia Grain International at a price of $316.6 per ton C&F. Additionally, this batch contains 13.225 thousand tons of hard red winter wheat with a protein content of 12.5%, purchased from Bunge at a price of $306.99 per ton C&F. Finally, this batch includes 6.25 thousand tons of soft white wheat with a protein content ranging from 8.5 to 10%, priced at $281.98 per ton C&F.
The second batch consists of 49.925 thousand tons and will be delivered from September 12 to 26. This batch includes 31.425 thousand tons of dark northern spring wheat with a minimum protein content of 14.5%, bought from CHS at a price of $323.17 per ton C&F. Additionally, this batch contains 11.85 thousand tons of red wheat with a protein content of 12.5%, priced at $300.95 per ton C&F. Lastly, this batch includes 6.65 thousand tons of soft white wheat with a protein content ranging from 8.5 to 10%, acquired from Columbia Grain International at a price of $288.01 per ton C&F.
