In China, new varieties of agricultural crops have been registered, including varieties of rapeseed. The Ministry of Agriculture has recalled counterfeit seeds, continuing the fight for fair competition and the protection of innovations in agriculture.

The Russian authorities are expanding programs for the development of agricultural machinery and veterinary drugs. The state will allocate about 15.8 billion rubles for agricultural machinery and over 4.4 billion for veterinary drugs. The plan includes creating 27 new types of machinery and meeting 70% of the livestock industry's demand with domestic drugs by 2030.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Jordan has purchased 50,000 tons of flourenten wheat from Buildcom at a price of $265 per ton C&F. Delivery will take place between August 15 and 31, 2025.

The Ministry of Jordan has purchased 60,000 tons of barley at $235.5 per ton. Participants in the tender included Viterra ($237.99), Bunge ($239.50), CHS ($246), Ameropa ($235.95), Olam ($241.68), Al Dahra ($237.00), Agrochirnogi ($240.50), Dreyfus ($237.50). The next tender is scheduled for April 9.

In Southern Kazakhstan, the sowing season has begun. In the Turkestan region, 14 thousand hectares of land out of 896 thousand hectares allocated for crops have been sown. 338 thousand hectares are reserved for cereals and 72.7 thousand hectares for oilseeds. 17.5 thousand units of machinery are involved in the work.

Carriers recommend that shippers choose supported destinations, including ports in Russia and the Baltic countries. An excess of grain carriers and closed wagons leads to a slowing down of loading caused by long holidays. In 2025, the volumes of grain transportation by rail have increased, especially exports. Freight carriers urge to intensify deliveries.

The Eurasian Economic Commission has approved the prospects for cooperation between the EAEU and the countries of Southeast Asia in the agricultural sector. Analysis has shown that the main export commodities are meat, dairy products, grains, and fats. The recommendation contributes to export diversification.

Kazhydromet warns of increased evaporation in April, which may lead to insufficient soil moisture in some regions for spring sowing. However, overall, autumn-winter conditions are favorable for grain regions of Kazakhstan, especially in some areas.

Kazhydromet forecasts optimal moist conditions for northern and Turkestan regions, while in other regions satisfactory or optimum moisture levels are expected.

At the video conference, a meeting was held by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture to discuss the preparedness for the sowing campaign in the Urals District. The agro-industrial complex of the Urals District holds significant importance in the Russian economy, as it plans to increase the sown area and expand the cultivation of oilseeds.

Preparations for sowing are being carried out steadily, and seeds are already 94% ready. Special attention is being paid to adhering to sowing plans, purchasing fertilizers, equipment, and safety measures. The importance of timely state support and the involvement of abandoned lands have also been emphasized.

In the Ulyanovsk region, spring field work has begun.

Winter crops were fertilized on 20,548 hectares, which is 7% of the plan.

The work was carried out in several districts using 17 units of machinery.

Ukraine has successfully exported 30.842 million tons of grain and leguminous crops since the beginning of the 2024/25 marketing year, including 1.66 million tons this month. The exports have decreased compared to the previous year: wheat - 12.478 million tons (last year - 12.864), corn - 15.691 million tons (17.309). The export of flour has decreased to 50.5 thousand tons (last year - 76 thousand tons) since the beginning of the season.

In the southern regions of Kazakhstan, the spring campaign has begun. 15 thousand hectares have been sown, including 0.5 thousand hectares of cereals. It is planned to sow 23.7 million hectares of agricultural crops, including oilseeds and fodder.

The lagging regions have been instructed to improve the situation.
