Aleksey Yurtaev, the Minister of Economy of the Krasnodar Krai, explained that the Krasnodar Krai produces approximately a quarter of all sugar in Russia, and the Vyselkovsky sugar plant is one of the leaders in this industry. To remain competitive, it is necessary to continuously optimize business processes. Therefore, at the end of last year, the enterprise joined the national project "Labor Productivity". The implementation of effective methods will help the company to more efficiently use its internal resources, ensuring stable growth and economic development of the entire region.
The employees of the sugar plant have already undergone training on effective tools, conducted a pilot process diagnosis, and identified the main problems affecting productivity.
One of the main problems was the underutilization of the company's existing capacities. The company began to implement advanced practices that had already been successfully applied in similar plants.
The working group developed a schedule and standard for replacing and adjusting knives, which led to a 5% increase in sugar productivity per hour per employee. To avoid losses, the wash tank and knife assembly table were placed next to the main equipment. This reduced the operator's movements by 48% in one cycle.
Overall, after participating in the national project, the sugar plant plans to reduce process time and inventory in the flow by 10% and increase production.
The "Kristall" plant is part of the "Agrocomplex" named after N.I. Tkachev and is one of the largest producers of granulated sugar in Russia.
The enterprise is capable of processing 7.9 thousand tons of sugar beets per day. In 2021, a warehouse was built at the plant, designed to store up to 50 thousand tons of finished products.
The national project "Labor Productivity" has been implemented in the Krasnodar Krai since 2018. It creates conditions for an annual 5% increase in labor productivity in the country. Various measures are taken to support businesses, including financial incentives and expert consultations from competency centers.
