Purchasing wheat from Jordan

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Jordan organized a tender for the purchase of 120,000 metric tons of hard milling wheat of arbitrary origin. Ameropa won the tender, and the delivery is scheduled to take place from May 1st to May 15th, 2024. Traders report that a wheat procurement tender is planned for April.

On February 13, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Jordan organized a tender for the purchase of 120 thousand hard grain milling wheat of random origin. European traders report the results of the tender.

At the tender, 60 thousand tons of wheat were purchased from Ameropa at a price of $253 per ton on the C&F Aqaba basis with delivery from May 1 to May 15, 2024.

The following companies also took part in the tender:

Viterra offered wheat at $276 per ton.
Cargill offered wheat at $259.75 per ton.
CHS offered wheat at $258.55 per ton.
Buildcom offered wheat at $264.77 per ton.
Cerealcom Dolj offered wheat at a price of $286 per ton.
MC Food offered wheat at a price of $274 per ton.
Grainflower offered wheat at a price of $259.5 per ton.
The Andersons offered wheat at $262.8 per tonne.

According to traders, Jordan will hold the next tender on February 20 for the purchase of 120 thousand tons of wheat with delivery from April 1 to April 15.
