As evidenced by the results of the weekly USDA crop tour, the state of spring wheat has deteriorated over the past week against the backdrop of a long drought. So, until August 20, 38% of grain crops were in good and excellent condition, which is 4% less than last week. At the same time, it was tentatively expected that this figure would be 42%.
In addition, there was a deterioration in the condition of corn crops - up to 58% in good and excellent condition (-1% per week), while the condition of soybean crops remained stable - 59% of them were in good and excellent condition at the reporting date.
It is also reported that, according to the USDA, the harvesting campaign of winter wheat in the US was completed by 96% of the plan, spring wheat - by 39%.
