Kazakhstan exported 6.7 million tons of wheat and meslin worth $1.7 billion during the period January-November 2023. According to the monitoring agency Energyprom.kz, natural growth was 20.6%, and monetary growth was only 2.9%. The main importers were Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and China.
Last November, prices for export supplies of wheat and meslin fell by 4% over the month and by 8% over the year.
Monthly prices for export supplies for the CIS countries decreased by 7%, and for other countries - by .8%.
Annual prices for the CIS countries decreased by 16.8%, while for the rest of the world they increased by 3.2%.
Investments in fixed capital in the field of growing grain and leguminous crops, including seed production, amounted to 465 billion tenge in January-December last year, which is 3% more than a year earlier. The largest volumes of investments were concentrated in the North Kazakhstan, Kostanay and Akmola regions. In general, investments were recorded in 16 out of 20 regions of the country.
In the field of grain warehousing and storage, investments in 2023 amounted to 8.3 billion tenge, which is 13% less than a year earlier. The leaders in this area also turned out to be the same areas.
