Cancellation of the wheat import tender and a new tender chance for importers

The Jordanian State Grain Agency canceled the tender scheduled for January 24 for the import of 120 thousand tons of milling wheat. The reason for the cancellation was high grain supply prices. Seven operators took part in the tender, including CHS, Cargill, Viterra, Cerealcom Dolj, Nestwise, Ameropa and MC Food.

However, a new tender for the purchase of a similar volume of wheat was announced, which will take place on February 6. If this tender is successful, the contracted grain must be delivered to the importer between April 15 and June 15 of the current year.
