Since the beginning of 2023, the Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Orenburg Region has controlled more than 290 thousand tons of grain intended for shipment for export to 11 countries. The volume of grain exports increased 6 times compared to the same period last year. The largest part of exports is made up of food wheat and barley.

The main volume of regulated products was shipped to Kazakhstan - more than 255 thousand tons (wheat, barley, safflower), Latvia is in second place in terms of grain shipments, to which more than 18 thousand tons of grain (wheat and flax) were shipped.

All grain products, when shipped for export, are accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate, as well as a protocol from a laboratory accredited in the national accreditation system. Research is carried out for compliance with the requirements of importing countries, international obligations and contractual requirements, as well as for compliance with the requirements of TR TS 015/2011 “On the safety of grain”, Order of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation dated November 12, 2021 No. 756 “On approval of the list of consumer properties of a batch of grain and ( or) batches of grain processing products for the purpose of entering the traceability of grain and grain processing products into the FSIS.

In 2023, the Office refused to issue phytosanitary certificates in 65 cases due to the detection of quarantine objects in batches of wheat and barley - creeping mustard and tripartite ragweed (3014.1 tons) and contamination of grain weighing 7510 tons with pests of grain stocks (small flour beetle, short-haired red flour-eater, Surinamese flour-eater, barn weevil). The batches of grain were intended for shipment to Kazakhstan. In connection with the contamination, the batches were rejected, other batches were offered for shipment. The validity of declarations of conformity for these batches of grain is suspended until the measures for grain disinfection are carried out.

We draw the attention of grain exporters to the need to comply with the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation and importing countries in the field of plant quarantine, as well as the quality and safety of grain.
