According to the data of the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOB), the country annually produces around 90 million tons of solid biomass, from which over 18 million tons of liquid product are obtained during the same period. Large biofuel producers also demand liquid by-products from palm oil, such as palm fatty acid distillate and wastewater.
This demand is supported by the existing legislation of the European Union countries, which encourages the use of raw material waste for alternative fuel production. It is also worth noting that the increased use of palm raw material for biofuel production will significantly reduce Malaysia's palm oil global supply volumes.
Reductions in other fish species are observed. The most significant decrease was in the herring catch volume, down by 38 percent to 19.5 thousand tons. The sprat catch decreased by 16 percent to 20.8 thousand tons, and cod by five percent to 132,500 tons.
Overall fish catch volume since the beginning of the year increased by 2.9 percent, reaching almost 1.8 million tons. The majority of the catch, about 81 percent, is attributed to fishermen from the Far East. Fish production has also increased since the beginning of the year. During this period, 1,183,800 tons of fish were processed, which is two percent more than the same period last year.
The deadlines for service provision are also being clarified. Previously, the executive body or local self-government body could request additional information from the Federal Agency for Fishery, the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre, and Cartography, and the Federal Subsurface Management Agency within two business days from the date of application receipt, but now this information should be requested on the same day.
An entrepreneur now has the opportunity to attach documents with information on the area and date of commissioning of a specific hydraulic structure (HS) to the application for providing a water object. It is not mandatory to provide the HS registration code in the application for providing a water object.
This year, it is planned to supply no fewer than 8,500 units of various agricultural machinery, which is 8.5 percent more than last year. This season, agricultural producers increased purchases through a leasing company by 22%, reaching 7,500 units of agricultural machinery for spring field work.
