The Russian Federation is helping six African countries free of charge by supplying them with a significant amount of grain. As part of humanitarian assistance, a sea vessel arrived at the seaport of Novorossiysk, ready to load 25 thousand tons of wheat, which are intended for one of the African countries.
According to information published in the Telegram channel of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, customs officers carried out all necessary operations with maximum priority and released the goods. This means that the grain can already be sent to the specified country to help the population.
Earlier, at the Russia-Africa summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced free grain supplies to six African countries. These countries include Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Mali, Somalia, Central African Republic (CAR) and Eritrea. The supply volume is estimated at 25-50 thousand tons of grain to each of these countries.
The significant amount of grain provided by Russia will help alleviate the food security problem in these countries and provide the necessary resources for the population. At the same time, Vladimir Putin emphasized that Russia will also provide free delivery of this grain in order to make assistance more effective and efficient.
This Russian initiative is part of the Russian Federation's overall desire to strengthen its relations with African countries and maintain friendly ties. Such assistance in such difficult times for many African states demonstrates Russia’s deep understanding and humanitarian approach.
Hope for strengthening cooperation between Russia and Africa is growing every day. The supply of grain is one example of the practical implementation of this aspiration. It helps not only to cope with economic difficulties, but also strengthens mutual understanding and trust between countries.
