The shipment of fertilizers for export via Russian Railways network from January to August 2024 increased by 17.1% compared to the previous year, reaching 22.8 million tons, according to the company's announcement.
As stated in the Russian Railways message, fertilizer exports via Russian Railways network grew by 17.1% and reached 22.8 million tons over the first eight months of 2024.
A significant portion of fertilizers was delivered to ports: transportation growth in the Northwest region amounted to 26.2% reaching 16.6 million tons, in the South - 7.4% amounting to 2.6 million tons, in the Far East, shipments increased by 1.8 times reaching 92.6 thousand tons.
The total volume of loaded fertilizers via railways from January to August 2024 amounted to 45.1 million tons, which is 7.9% more than the previous year. Leading regions by loading volume: Perm Krai (12.2 million tons, a growth of 1.3 times), Murmansk Oblast (10 million tons, +5.3%), Novgorod Oblast (3.5 million tons, +10.7%).
